What We Do

Our projects

Our organization is involved in numerous projects.

We work with local leaders and other on-ground community-based organizations to implement interventions that accelerate the adoption of adaptable and resilient livelihoods. Usually, factors that limit the capacity of communities to progress are complex and multifaceted. We take a holistic approach to systemically address these challenges by intervening across the social, economic, cultural, and policy set-ups that structure the community. In this endeavor, our work covers four major community development initiatives.

Food AND NUTRITION SECURITY
FOPCO Africa supports programs that enhance communal capacity to provide safe and sufficient food.

A hungry stomach is a brewery for chaos. Our programs are designed to ensure that communities are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to help them produce adequate food for subsistence use and agribusiness exploits. At the core of our philosophy of food security, we customize our interventions to ensure accessibility and safety across all the social classes of our target beneficiaries.

We work with communities to enhance their efficient use of local resources for better WASH services

Accessibility to clean and safe drinking water and quality sanitation services are fundamental for any community that aspires to progress against disease, hunger, and poverty. The availability and management of water resources significantly influence health, food security and nutrition, gender fairness and balance, and inclusive access to education.

FOPCO Africa supports learners across different stages in diverse forms.

We believe that education is the path to self-awareness and sustainable progress, first at an individual level and then at the community level. We have diversified our education program to cater to beneficiaries across diverse age groups.

Youth Employment and Women's Empowerment
We empower youth and women-led SMES to enhance their competitive advantage

As an African proverb goes, 'To educate a woman is to educate a whole village' and so It is also true that to empower a woman is to empower a whole generation. And as another one goes, 'A child who is not embraced by a village will burn it down to feel its warmth' and so it is also true that we cannot continue to neglect the economic hurdles of our youths if we are to ensure cohesiveness in our communities.
